The Eiffel Tower and its replicas
/ September 10, 2023
The Eiffel Tower was built by Gustave Eiffel for the Paris Universal Exhibition of 1889 as a celebration of the centenary of the French Revolution. Destined to be removed after twenty years, the tower was saved by the scientific experiments encouraged by Eiffel and by the first radio transmissions, later followed by telecommunications. The tower served as a military radio station in 1903 and did broadcast the first public radio program in 1925.
